Camping-Car-Love.com puts people in touch who are looking for a travel companion for trips by motorhome, campervan or van. This page explains what data we collect, why, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights.
Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller is the publisher of Camping-Car-Love.com (see also the terms and legal notice, in French). For any question about your data: contact@camping-car-love.com.
What data and why?

Profile fields other than email, username, last name and first name are optional: only fill in what you agree to make visible.
Who can see your profile?
Your profile (username, age, town, photos, description) is visible to all visitors of the site. It may also appear in Google and other search engines. To remove it from search engines, write to us or delete your account. Your email, last name and first name are never shown publicly.
Payment
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe (or PayPal). We never receive or store your bank details.
How long do we keep your data?
- Account and profile: as long as your account exists, then deleted as soon as you delete it.
- Account never validated by email: deleted after 30 days.
- Failed login attempts: 24 hours.
- Password reset links: 1 hour; registration validation links: 30 days.
- Orders and invoices: 10 years, as required by law (without your profile data).
Who processes your data for us?
- Infomaniak (Switzerland): hosting of the site and the database.
- Stripe and PayPal: subscription payment.
- Google: display of advertising (AdSense) and measurement of advertising campaigns, only according to your cookie choices.
Your data is never sold.
Cookies
- Session cookie (necessary): keeps you logged in during your visit.
- Google advertising cookies: set only if you accept them in the consent window. You can change your choice at any time with the « Privacy settings » button at the bottom of the page.
Your rights
You can access your data, correct it, delete it, object to its use or ask to receive a copy of it.
- Edit your profile: My account › My profile.
- Delete your account and your data: My account › Delete my account.
- Any other request: contact@camping-car-love.com. We reply within one month.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).
